Loss of Habitat

The Wye Valley is where the picturesque was invented and it’s still one of the most beautiful places in the UK. But under the surface, the river is in trouble. Animal and plant species are losing their habitat. And in the picturesque small towns in England and Wales that flank the river, there are people struggling with homelessness. Pollution of waterways, and a dysfunctional housing sector, mean that humans and other species alike face a loss of habitat.
