Ryan Prout

With Jonathan Clode, Ryan Prout is one of the originators of the All is Not Well project. He has enjoyed reading comics for as long as he can remember. He began using graphic novels in his teaching in the 2000s when comics crossed over into the human interest section of the Spanish press and literary scene. He has written about sequential art by creators including Paco Roca, Miguel Gallardo, Bef (Bernardo Fernández), and Francisco Ibáñez. ‘Loss of Habitat’ is one of his first forays into writing for comics. He is still learning about how to create dialogue for sequential art.

Ilya

Internationally published writer, artist and editor, ILYA’s books include END OF THE CENTURY CLUB (Best Graphic Novel, the UK Comic Art Convention 1997), SKIDMARKS, ROOM FOR LOVE, TIME TRAVELLER, Manga Shakespeare’s KING LEAR, HOW TO DRAW COMICS (in comic strip format) and HOW TO DRAW Absolutely ANYTHING. Also, prose novel THE CLAY DREAMING. Resident Cartoon Historian for New Internationalist magazine (15 episodes published to date), he draws on more than 30 years’ experience. Read him in French, German, Italian, Turkish, Galician Spanish, and even Japanese.
